In this re-imagining of the Italian epic, one humble clown grapples with his own morality as he confronts grief, obsession, fear, and the many inhabitants of the underworld. When Beatrice, the love of his life, dies suddenly, Dante Alighieri finds himself thrust on a journey through his own personal Hell. Can he make it through all nine circles? Can he rescue Beatrice? Can he find a snack?
